My sister in law and I entered our wonderful hotel room at the luxurious Hyatt Virginia Beach and walked over to the beach view from the window. The curtain were closed so we opened them and our mouths literally dropped open at the fabulous view. We knew our room was on the beach but we had no idea we would be so close to the fabulous beach and the beautiful water. The hotel was literally just a few feet from the lovely and wonderful beach. We could not have been closer!

We had wanted a beach getaway and had contacted the Virginia Beach folks to work out a press trip to the area and they could not have been more accommodating! They replied almost instantly to my many emails and answered every question Ihat I had with prompt replies, quickly arranging a hotel on the beach and several outings in the area. We were so pleased with our lovely hotel, our fabulous and comfortable room, the wonderful, extensive breakfast every morning and the helpful and friendly staff every time we had a question about where to go. They parked our car every time we dropped it off and brought it quickly to us when we wanted to head out yet again.
The first day we had nothing planned so we relaxed and walked on the beach to see the area. It was so beautiful! We asked for suggestions for places to eat after we had pizzas from the hotel restaurant the first night. The hotel staff gave us some printed handouts for restaurants in the area and we took pictures of the handouts with our phones then worked our way down the lists daily having so much wonderful food every day, most in restaurants right on the water. One of the first restaurants had a great view of the beach and absolutely wonderful food. Waterman’s Surfside Grille was one of our favorite places to eat,

One of the nicest things we did during our stay was be completely pampered at The Beauty Tree Spa right near the hotel,. They were so lovely and wonderful! They offered the two us pedicures and some wonderful facials. They asked us to come back the next day for our facials after they finished our lovely pedicures. We had no problem returning as they had been so nice to us so we easily returned the next morning for our wonderful facials. My sister in law had a wonderful facial and I had a cupping facial that was fabulous and unlike any facial I have ever had. It was wonderful! If you plan a visit here, I recommend one!
Our next day was busy with an exciting boat tour to see the area and some of the dolphins that surround the island. Rudee Tours offers all kinds of different water tours of the area and their boat was roomy and comfortable. We checked in at the office and walked down the pier to sit and wait for our dolphin tour. It was a perfect day, warm and sunny as we cruised away from the dock. We saw all kinds of sea wildlife on our cruise and enjoyed every minute! If you have a chance to take a tour of the area, you should check them out!
We had a lovely breakfast meeting with Erin Goldmeier who had helped arrange our trip and some of the activities. We had a wonderful breakfast meeting at Bay Local, a wonderful restaurant.

I has some fabulous waffles and we spent a lovely couple of hours visiting and talking with Erin. She is such lovely person and we really enjoyed our breakfast meeting. I had a wonderful waffle breakfast! I swear, the food we had at all the wonderful restaurants made this trip!

Our week in the lovely town of Virginia Beach was winding down and we were so sad to have it come to an end! We carefully packed up all our belongs and had one last fabulous dinner out. The food was truly one of the best parts of this trip! After a last, wonderful breakfast at the hotel, we loaded up our car and headed back home, We had experienced one of our most incredible beach visits and loved everything about Virginia Beach.
