Mama Redell's Bread Pudding

Mama Redell’s Bread Pudding

3 loaves French bread
6 eggs
2 c. sugar
1⁄2 c. cinnamon
1 stick butter
2 cans evaporated milk (milk can be added for more moisture)
1⁄4 c. vanilla extract

1. Break bread into small pieces and place into a large bowl.
2. Add all other ingredients into the bowl and mix well to make a very moist dough.
3. Pour mixture into a baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 – 30 minutes.
Test the bread pudding in the middle – you want it to be about 3⁄4 done.
The bread pudding tends to dry up some when it cools.
A variety of toppings can be prepared to spread on top of the bread pudding prior to serving.
